Waterton Lakes National Park

Glacier National Park's neighbor to the north, Waterton Lakes National Park, is located in Alberta, Canada. Accessible during the summer months from the international border crossing at Chief Mountain, Waterton Lakes National Park is a short drive from the northeast edge of Glacier National Park and provides an ideal two-nation vacation destination.

In 1932, the United States and Canada created the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. The world's first international peace park, it was also designated as a World Heritage Site in 1995.
